Dramatic Arts Teacher / HOD - Senior School

TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SENIOR SCHOOL TEAM AS A DRAMATIC ARTS TEACHER YOU WOULD:

• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching Senior School Dramatic Arts (Grades 8 to 12) in a similar school environment to St John’s D.S.G., preferably with IEB experience and conversant in IEB SAGS and CAPS.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Grade 12 Dramatic Arts.
• Have a Bachelor of Education, or a similar 4-year Senior / FET qualification in Dramatic Arts, with PGCE.
• Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
• Be highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Publisher) and CANVA.
• Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
• Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
• Have a high level of computer competency and be willing to learn new systems.
• Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
• Be SACE registered as a qualified Teacher

• Integrate technology into the curriculum, incorporating various electronic media in your lessons
