Job Description - Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer
Role Purpose:
We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer. Joining an established Business Central Team, you will be responsible for the successful development and adaptation of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system to meet the needs of our clients.
This role will draw upon your expertise of developing, testing, and delivering innovative new functionality to clients existing software, as well as your proven ability to collaborate with other internal stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery.
In this role, you will also provide level 3 client support in relation to customisation and development work you have previously designed and delivered.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to bring their knowledge and skills to a market leader, working on a varied range of exciting new development projects across Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership for the development, testing, support, and maintenance of on premise and cloud-based applications, primarily on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platforms
Work closely with the Business Central Functional Consultants/Project Managers to carry out project scoping and understand client requirements so that appropriate solutions can be designed
Draw upon your knowledge of development and implementation methodologies to shape, define, and quality assure Business Central projects
Write efficient, high-quality code/test automation scripts that meet the business requirements
Work with third parties to integrate Business Central with other systems
Collaborate with the Business Central Support Desk, assisting in the resolution of client issues by delivering Level 3 technical support. This includes providing assistance on support tickets and trouble-shooting technical issues
Create fixes/patches for client products as required, remaining within the constraints of their development procedures
Support and mentor other Business Central team members in relation to customisation and development
Optimise the use of standard Business Central capabilities, supporting and driving process changes in line with best practice
Co-ordinate and collaborate with others to work towards successful project delivery for our clients, always adopting the company's client approach
Take ownership of all assigned tasks, including liaising with clients as and when required
Carry out administrative aspects of projects including:
Full job card management
Maintaining relevant documentation
Develop and maintain a broad product knowledge across the Dynamics 365 suite
Essential:
Extensive experience of developing Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision, including having independently managed at least 5 full development or customisation projects
A minimum 1 years experience of Visual Studio Code including the AL Language extension, C/AL, and C/SIDE programming
Strong working knowledge of SQL and T-SQL
Previous experience of providing level 3 client support
Desirable:
Working knowledge of Microsoft.NET
Previous experience of C#, Java script, Type script, VB, XML, HTML
Demonstrable understanding of programming practices, object-oriented methodologies, and version control concepts

Salary: Market Related depending on experience and Skill set
