Electrical and Mechanical Technician

Requirements:

•Matric with relevant qualifications.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician.

•Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and components.

•Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery issues.

•Familiarity with X-ray technology and diamond recovery processes is an advantage.

•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

•Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.

•Willingness to work overtime when required.

•Ability to travel as needed for on-site support and maintenance.

•Valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities:

•Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of X-ray Diamond Recovery machines.

•Ensure machinery is functioning correctly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

•Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement appropriate solutions.

•Install, test, and commission new machinery and equipment.

•Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machine performance and reliability.

•Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs performed.

•Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

•Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.

•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
