An award-winning experiential lighting design firm is seeking a talented Electrical Draughtsman. With over 15 years of expertise in biophilic design and lighting innovation, the team creates custom lighting solutions that enhance well-being by simulating natural lighting principles across high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial environments.

Position Overview:
The Electrical Draughtsman will play a crucial role in translating creative lighting concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation. This position involves close collaboration with designers and architects to ensure the seamless integration of lighting and control systems into architectural plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed lighting layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and installation drawings.
• Maintain and update comprehensive drawing packages, including lighting schedules and control layouts.
• Revise drawings in response to feedback or site-based changes.
• Translate design intent into buildable, code-compliant technical drawings.
• Assist in creating Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical documents.
• Organize and manage technical documentation for active projects.

Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and SketchUp is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of architectural and electrical drafting standards.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems as related to lighting.
• Familiarity with lighting control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret lighting specifications and product cut sheets.
• High attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Background in electrical drafting, architecture, or interior design preferred.

Preferred Attributes:

• Interest in lighting, interior, or architectural design.
• Experience with multiple concurrent projects.
• Prior experience in luxury residential or hospitality projects is a plus.
