Position: Electrician
Location: International placement onboard a cruise line
Crew Life At Sea is currently recruiting Electricians on behalf of one of our cruise line partners. This technical role is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems throughout the accommodation and engine areas of the vessel.
Working in the Electro-Technical department, this position offers a hands-on opportunity in a dynamic maritime environment. All candidates placed through Crew Life At Sea are hired directly by the cruise line and are never charged recruitment or placement fees.
Maintain and repair all shipboard electrical systems and components
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment in accommodation and engine areas
Maintain power distribution, control, and drive systems
Inspect mobile electrical equipment and lighting fixtures
Service and repair galley, laundry, and hotel electrical equipment
Maintain and repair elevator systems
Perform standby duties as needed within the electro-technical team
Support emergency repairs and security duties as directed by the Chief Engineer
Follow safety, environmental, and ISM procedures onboard
Perform tasks from the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and report outcomes
Track and report stock levels of electrical supplies and assist in inventory counts
Monthly salary paid in USD
Onboard accommodation and meals provided
Medical coverage during the full length of contract
Work in a multicultural team environment
Training and development in maritime electrical systems
Full support during onboarding and travel arrangements
Recognized professional electrical qualification
STCW III/7 (ETR) certificate or ability to obtain Italian Endorsement
Previous experience in electrical maintenance and installations
Familiarity with shipboard electrical systems (generators, switchboards, fire alarms, elevators, galley and laundry machinery, watertight doors, etc.)
Experience with elevator maintenance is a plus
Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on maintenance capabilities
B1-level English proficiency or higher
Compliant with maritime health, safety, and environmental standards
Selected candidates will be guided through the cruise lines onboarding and documentation process. Crew Life At Sea does not collect any fees from applicants.
