MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services always remain functional to their original state in the safest and most cost-effective way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Perform technical jobs within the Locality

Perform administration duties within the technical function

Identify and mitigate technical risks within the Locality

Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the Locality

Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Appropriate trade test-certified

DESIRED EDUCATION: N/A

ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATION: Trade test certificate & valid driver's licence

DESIRED CERTIFICATION: N/A

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MININUM EXPERIENCE: More than 2 years of artisan experience specifically in plumbing, carpentry, painting

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: N/A

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Trade-specific skills and knowledge – proficiency relative to the role
Trade-specific policies, procedures, guidelines, and relevant legislature
Fault finding and troubleshooting
Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
