Requirements:
- Grade 12 with mathematics and science.
- Section 13 red seal electrician trade test.
- N4 electrical trade theory.
- 6 years experience in heavy industry, preferably in a Non-Woven Textile plant.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Process (Scheduled):
- Receive and interpret maintenance schedules.
- Inspect tooling and determine spare parts requirements.
- Generate job requisitions.
- Transport tools, equipment, and spares.
- Conduct preventive maintenance.
- Perform stock take integrity checks.
Maintenance Process (Breakdown):
- Attend to machine breakdowns.
- Update progress to responsible personnel.
- Escalate unresolved issues.
- Capture breakdown information.
- File job requisitions post-repair.
Electrical Maintenance:
- Design and construct circuits.
- Install electrical systems.
- Inspect and maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Update electrical drawings.
Mechanical and Fabrication:
- Perform basic mechanical tasks.
- Cut, drill, and punch fabrication materials.
- Conduct repairs and installations.
Instrumentation Maintenance:
- Construct electronic circuits.
- Install instrument impulse lines.
- Maintain instrumentation equipment.
Post-Maintenance Process:
- Test and commission machinery.
- Complete maintenance schedules.
- Identify additional work requirements.
- Ensure work area cleanliness post-maintenance.
Material Handling:
- Sling loads, operate cranes/hoists, operate forklifts.
Engineering Projects:
- Contribute to project initiation and scope definition.
- Estimate project costs and monitor budgets.
- Schedule and monitor project activities.
- Provide technical assistance within projects.
