We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager for Payments to lead a team of 12 talented engineers in building scalable, high-performance systems. About the Role
As an Engineering Manager, you will:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, and maintainable solutions that align with business objectives.
Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices, resolving complex challenges, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, aligning technical roadmaps with business goals while communicating risks and opportunities effectively.
Focus on team growth, ensuring engineers have the tools, guidance, and support to excel in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Guide the team in designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable payment systems.
Oversee system architecture, balancing innovation with maintainability and performance.
Ensure smooth execution of complex, cross-functional projects.
Champion best practices, testing, and quality assurance in all deliverables.
Team Management
Mentor, coach, and grow engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation.
Provide clear feedback, career guidance, and motivation to help team members excel.
Build cohesion across frontend and backend squads, ensuring alignment on goals and delivery.
Strategic & Operational Excellence
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
Drive continuous improvement in workflows, observability, and incident management.
Balance priorities between new feature development, system maintenance, and bug fixing.
