Engineer/Technologist

• Assist with Site Data Capturing for System Studies and Basic Engineering Packages. 
  
• Build System Study Models.  Assist with running system study simulations and obtaining results.
  
• Assist in the development of project design documentation, technical specifications, concept and/or detail design drawings, and providing a detailed design package that complies with applicable local, international, and client specifications and standards. 
  
• Engage with other project stakeholders.  Provide project administrative and coordination support. 
  
• Assist with reviewing technical contract documents and performing contractor design reviews. 
  
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment by following established Health, Safety & Environment Policy and applying Safety Management Systems. 
  
• Assist with identification and analysis of design changes.
  
• Modify design drawings and update technical documents with design changes.
  
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) planning and execution.  Provide engineering support during construction.  Assist with resolving and responding to technical queries from contractors.
  
• Assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.  Attend and contribute to site and project technical meetings as necessary.  Assist in final handover of documentation as necessary.
  
• Assist with completing expressions of interest (EOIs), tenders, and business development/marketing activities.
  
• Adherence to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
  
• Participate in continuous improvement of operational processes and the Quality Management System.
  

Requirements

• Degree: BSc Eng or B.Eng with 2 years relevant post-qualification technical experience 
  
• Technologist: B Tech with 4 years relevant post-qualification technical experience at engineering level 
  
• Licence: Valid Driver’s Licence 
  
• Professional Registration: ECSA registration as Candidate Engineer or Candidate Technologist
  

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
• Computer literacy with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.  Strong analytical skills.
  
• Self-management skills.  Presentation and report writing skills.
  
• Valid South African driver’s licence with no endorsements and own reliable transportation.
