RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical & Engineering Leadership

• Responsible for technical interpretation and clarification of EPC RFQs and tenders, including datasheets, specifications, standards, and scope of supply.
• Develop fit‑for‑purpose instrumentation solutions across the full Y‑Product portfolio (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, Analytical Systems, and Test & Measurement equipment), including the integration of approved buy‑out products, ensuring full alignment with international and client‑specific standards (IEC, ISO, API, ISA, SANS, etc.).
• Perform advanced instrument sizing, selection, and specification, validating solutions against process requirements and lifecycle considerations.
• Act as technical authority supporting EPCs and consultants during tender clarification and negotiation stages.
• Ensure technical compliance matrices / Statements of Compliance are complete, defensible, and fully traceable to client requirements.
• Review and approve vendor documentation, red-lined datasheets, deviations, and exceptions.
• Proposals, Commercial & Risk Management
• Own and manage the end-to-end proposal process for technically and commercially complex tenders.
• Prepare complete tender returnable, including technical, commercial, and contractual documentation.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage technical, commercial, and contractual risk, escalating where required.
• Support commercial teams in pricing strategy, margin protection, and discount approvals.
• Critically review client contract formats, including NEC, FIDIC and/or EPC / Client bespoke contracts.
• Understand and manage implications of terms and conditions, incl. LDs, warranties, payment terms, Incoterms, export control, and change management.
• Interface with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Management to align tender positions.
• Update YODA/CRM and other internal applications in line with the guidelines set out by the company and the YMA Corporate Planning Div. Manage CRM input data quality and accuracy and ensure completion of all mandatory sections/fields/processes required at
  quotation and order handling stages ensuring auditability and traceability.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Manage RFQs to approved third-party vendors, ensuring clear techno-commercial alignment.
• Evaluate vendor offers, clarifications, deviations, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with internal Product Specialists, Systems teams, and Regional / Global
  engineering resources.
• Lead technical interactions during tender clarification meetings and pre-award discussions.
• Execution Handover Support
• Support seamless handover from proposals to execution, including scope definition, risk
  registers, and assumptions.
• Provide input into databooks, inspection plans, FAT requirements, and documentation
  schedules.
• Assist with scope change identification and variation management.
• Governance & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with:
  o Yokogawa policies and authorization rules
  o Export control regulations (TCAS)
  o Quality Management System
  o Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption standards
