• Supervise and lead the audit team, including junior auditors and audit assistants, to ensure efficient and effective completion of audit tasks
• Provide training, guidance, and support to auditing staff to enhance their skills and professional development
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans to maintain high standards within the audit team
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of article clerks, ensuring they gain the necessary experience and knowledge to meet professional qualification requirements
• Mentor and support article clerks throughout their training contract, providing opportunities for learning and professional growth
• Ensure that article clerks are properly supervised and their work meets the firm’s quality standards
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports to regulatory bodies, maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations
• Develop and implement reporting systems and processes to streamline and enhance the efficiency of regulatory reporting
• Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure that the audit function adapts accordingly to meet new standards and guidelines

Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• CTA
• CA(SA)
• Registered Auditor (RA)

Experience:

• Completed SAICA Articles
• 5/ 8 years post article experience as a Audit Manager
• Experience in using auditing software (DraftWorx / CaseWare) a plus
• Excellent reporting and report writing skills

• Exceptional leadership skills, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams toward shared goals
• Strong analytical acumen and attention to detail, coupled with a strategic mindset
