Requirements

• More than 6 years’ experience in shipping environment or similar
  
• More than 2 years’ experience in sales in shipping environment
  
• Tertiary qualification in maritime studies/import, export and/or similar will be a great
  
• advantage
  
• Admin orientated
  
• Strong Interpersonal skills and handling difficult clients
  
• Portray corporate image
  
• Must be a Team Player
  
• Computer Literate in Word, Excel, Power Point, E -mail
  
• Ability to work under pressure under minimum supervision
  
• Admin orientated with high degree of accuracy
  
• Driver’s license
  
• Time Management and Stress Tolerance in an ever -changing environment
  
• Planning and organising skills
  

Duties:

• Sourcing new clients
  
• Maintaining current Clients
  
• Filing and checking of SQ’s.
  
• Application to principals for freight rates, routings, feeder space, uncleared shipments etc.
  
• Providing customers with freight rate quotations.
  
• Assisting customers with queries relating to shipments and services
  
• Communication with principals on BIZ matters
  
• Distribution of freight rate guidelines; BIZ notices, sailing schedules.
  
• Updating client database
  
• Entertaining clients and organising client functions
  
• involved with negotiation of Tenders/Freight Contracts with clients and principals
