Facilities Manager (student accommodation/ hospitality) - Gauteng

• Manage existing daily preventative and
  routine maintenance of buildings
  
• Manage
  on-site Maintenance Managers and Handymen, who will report directly to the FM
  
• FM will report to PM daily with regards day to day
  operational issues and to PE and FD on a weekly and monthly basis
  
• To report to PE and FD regarding major projects, and
  major building issues that could be a risk for Shareholders and have a major
  financial impact on the performance of their portfolio
  
• Responsible for the ongoing improvement, and continued
  development of a Strategic Facilities Maintenance Plan
  
• To compile the monthly Operations Report as per
  Shareholder requirements for the monthly Manpac
  
• To attend monthly Asset Management reporting meetings
  together with PE with regards to Operational day to day and major issues
  
• Liaise and collaborate with all role players internally
  and externally on maintenance, renovation, and construction projects throughout
  the year
  
• Be accountable for CAPEX and OPEX budgets defined for
  day to day maintenance, renovations, and construction
  
• Liaise with Development Director, FD, and PE on all
  maintenance renovations and construction projects
  
• Liaise with internal architects and development team
  and various consultants on construction and renovation projects
  
• Be
  available and willing to work overtime when required

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years
  Facilities Management experience within the Property Management Industry
  
• Matric
  Certificate
  
• Certificate, Degree or diploma or other appropriate
  credentials related to construction and Facilities Management
  
• Qualified and evidenced experience in the construction
  of commercial and residential and high-rise type buildings, facilities
  management, and maintenance
  
• Project
  Management
  
• Knowledge
  of local South African laws, by-laws, and practices required
  
• An understanding of, and insight into the National Building Regulations And Building
  standards Act, the BCEA, LRA, and OHS Acts, with the ability to apply the
  required principles
