Job Description - Field Guide

We are seeking a passionate and professional Field Guide to join a dynamic guiding team within a premier private reserve. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences, combining in-depth environmental knowledge with a genuine love for the bush and wildlife conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct engaging and informative guided game drives, bush walks, and nature-based experiences for guests.
Share expert knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems in an inspiring and educational manner.
Prioritise guest safety and comfort while ensuring all guiding activities comply with reserve protocols.
Contribute to ongoing conservation initiatives and assist with reserve management activities when required.
Maintain all guiding equipment, vehicles, and work areas to a professional standard.
Collaborate closely with the lodge team to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Requirements

Requirements:

Nature Site Guide qualification – NQF Level 2 (minimum).
Valid First Aid certificate.
Valid Driver’s License and PDP.
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
A genuine passion for wildlife, conservation, and guest interaction.
Team player with a proactive, positive attitude.
Experience in a Big 5 environment will be highly advantageous.
