Field Guide

• Lead Safaris: Conduct twice-daily interpretive game drives and guided bush walks tailored to high-end international and local guests.
  
• Guest Hosting: Welcome arrivals, manage guest expectations of luxury, and host traditional boma dinners and bushveld picnics.
  
• Educational Guiding: Interpret fauna, flora, diverse birdlife, local geology, and the region's rich archaeological history, including ancient rock art.
  
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-drive safety inspections, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and pack standard hospitality amenities like hot boxes and cooler boxes.
  
• Veld Management: Assist management with basic conservation tasks, including bush clearing, road upkeep, and alien vegetation removal.
  

Requirements

• Qualifications: NQF 2 certification, 
  
• Registrations: Valid DEAT / NDT registration and a current CATHSSETA certificate.
  
• Licences: Valid South African driver's licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  
• Safety: Valid First Aid certificate and SASSETA Firearm Proficiency / Rifle Competency.
  
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating within a luxury 4 or 5-star safari lodge environment.
  
• Skills: Outstanding communication skills in English, deep knowledge of regional birding, and exceptional 4x4 driving capabilities.
