Field Technician – Vending & Beverage Equipment

A technical services company is seeking a Field Technician to prepare, service, and repair vending machines and related beverage equipment. The role requires strong electronic and mechanical repair skills, the ability to work independently, and a customer‑focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure vending machines for deployment.
  


• Complete repairs and servicing within required deadlines.
  


• Drive and maintain a company service vehicle safely.
  


• Use lifting/moving equipment and power tools safely.
  


• Train machine operators and customers when required.
  


• Perform electronic repairs down to component level, including:
  




• Reading schematics
  


• Soldering
  


• Using a multimeter
  


• Basic software programming
  




• Conduct electrical repairs and fault‑finding on motors, solenoids, and power supplies.
  


• Maintain accurate service records and general housekeeping.
  


• Ensure uniform and company vehicle are kept neat and presentable.
  

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
  


• Technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical, or Electromechanical (minimum NQF Level 2)
  

Experience Required

• Vending machine repairs (advantageous)
  


• Electronic and mechanical repair experience
  


• Basic plumbing knowledge
  


• Domestic appliance repair experience
  


• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
