Overview of Role
The role of Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete accounting function of the Freedom Recruitment Group companies, ensuring that all necessary accounting is carried out, to produce accurate management information. The role includes responsibility for the following companies within the group: -

The role involves detailed work across all companies above, and the specific information in relation to this is set out below. The key part of the role is ensuring that all day to day accounting matters are carried out as required, and dealing with matters as they arise, so that the financial information is accurate. Whilst much of the role involves specific matters, the most important part of the role is having an overview at all times across the group companies, and dealing with matters as they arise. The accounts are maintained on Sage 50. An overview of the responsibilities on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis are set out below.
Daily
• Dealing with supplier invoices received for all companies and allocating to correct folders ready for posting to Sage.
• Ensuring that all invoices have been correctly allocated and coded, and reviewing the nominal ledger, and making journal adjustments if required.
• Dealing with supplier payments.
• Dealing with ad hoc queries as they arise in relation to financial and related administrative matters.
Weekly
• Checking and posting of recurring transactions on Sage.
• Raising invoices in relation to inter company recharges, and management charges.
• Management Fee sales invoices for all placements, checking and ensuring they are allocated correctly to all businesses and posting to Sage.
• Management of aged creditors, and supplier reconciliations
Monthly
• Posting journals in respect of monthly payroll.
• Posting monthly journals in relation to depreciation, accruals and prepayments, and other month end journals.
• Review nominal ledger and make journal adjustments if required, in relation to mis -posted transactions.
• Prepare / Check month end balance sheet reconciliations in respect of: -

• Ensure all inter company recharges have been completed, and prepare an inter group reconciliation across all group companies.
• Ensuring correct departmental allocation of income and costs in relation to Freedom Recruitment Capital Ltd and Freedom Recruitment RN Ltd.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts for Freedom Recruitment Capital Ltd and Freedom Recruitment RN Ltd.
• Preparation of Departmental accounts for Freedom Recruitment Capital Ltd and Freedom Recruitment RN Ltd to show profitability for client companies (Currently c60 companies).
• Month end closedown, and backup.
Quarterly
• Preparation of quarterly accounts for all companies, incorporating profit & loss accounts, and balance sheets.
• Preparation of Workbook summarising current group position, and comparing against budgeted andprior year figures.
• Assistance with VAT returns.
