This role is integral to our management team, overseeing all aspects of our hospitality finance functions and contributing to creating a sustainable financial environment.Position: Financial ManagerLocation: Constantia, Cape TownSalary: R70,000 per monthQualifications and Work Experience:Minimum Education: B.Compt Hons DegreeAdvantageous Qualifications: CA, CIMA, ArticlesMinimum Work Experience: At least 3-4 years in a similar roleAdvantageous Work Experience: Comprehensive experience with Opera, Micros, and NAV (Microsoft Dynamics 365)Key Qualities:Ability to work independently and as part of a teamHigh attention to detail with a strategic perspectiveCreative, flexible thinking alongside routine work proficiencyStrong problem-solving and positive mindsetRobust management and leadership skillsTeam-oriented with a focus on common goalsEffective at meeting deadlines and managing expectationsAccountability in self and othersComfortable with giving and receiving constructive criticismProficient in Excel functionsKey Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and present management accounts and financial reports for decision-making and planningEnsure accuracy of daily, monthly, and other management reportsMeet all reporting deadlinesCash Flow Management:Plan, maintain, and utilize cash resources to meet obligations and business objectivesBudgets:Manage the budget process and compile accurate annual budgetsFinancial Planning & Forecasting:Prepare and present cash flow forecastsProvide insights and analysis regarding risk, financial, and operational implications for decision makingFinancial Control & Compliance:Establish and maintain financial control functions to ensure adherence to legislation, policies, procedures, and accounting principlesEnsure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, VAT, other related tax obligations)Payroll:Manage and coordinate the monthly payroll with HRAudit:Oversee the annual financial and BEE auditsEnsure audit requirements are met and financial information is audit-readyInsurance:Prepare annual insurance renewal informationLiaise with insurance brokers for claimsIT & Information Systems:Ensure compliance and operational integrity of information systemsSafeguard financial and other key informationEnsure business compliance with POPI requirementsBusiness Management:Translate business goals into measurable objectivesSupport operational teams to meet strategic objectivesGeneral:Guide, mentor, and upskill the finance team and other stakeholdersOversee and assist with daily accounting and reconciling of control accountsTo apply for this role please send your CV and references today...
