Finance Officer - Metsi Berries

• Process daily financial transactions, including inventory journals during harvest periods
  
• Monitor and maintain blueberry inventory and stock movements
  
• Manage debtors and creditors, including invoicing, statements, and collections
  
• Ensure timely follow -up of outstanding payments in line with payment terms
  
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy in trial balances
  
• Match supplier invoices to approved purchase orders and upload into systems (e.g. Netsuite)
  
• Prepare and submit payment requests in accordance with company policies
  
• Perform customer and supplier reconciliations for review and approval
  
• Maintain accurate filing and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  
• Assist with month -end processes, including stock adjustments and reporting
  
• Support inventory controls for chemicals, fertilisers, and other inputs
  
• Escalate discrepancies, overdue payments, and process issues where required
  

Requirements

• National Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping (or equivalent)
  
• 1–3 years’ experience in a junior accounting or finance role
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems (experience with Netsuite advantageous)
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office
  

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
  
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
