Financial Officer (Grower)

• Calculate grower advances based on forecasted returns and agreed terms
  
• Ensure that all payments are processed in the correct currency
  
• Submit payment requests and ensure payments are made accurately and on time
  
• Communicate payment details and respond to grower queries
  
• Verify all income generated from local and export sale
  
• Ensure credits, claims, and adjustments are processed promptly and accurately
  
• Reconcile sales income with ERP reports and resolve discrepancies
  
• Maintain audit-ready records and support internal reporting needs
  
• Track and reconcile all sales and cost-related transactions weekly
  
• Maintain a detailed record of income and costs per grower and commodity
  
• Analyse trends in costs and returns, including exchange rate impacts
  
• Prepare clear and structured reports for internal and grower use
  
• Analyse and report on the impact of currency exchange rate differences
  
• Ensure foreign currency transactions are translated accurately
  
• Support in forecasting grower returns across different markets
  
• Compile and manage payment schedules across multiple producer accounts
  
• Coordinate payment processing with the finance team
  
• Ensure all transactions are captured and reconciled within the ERP system (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP)
  
• Identify inefficiencies in current processes and contribute to improvements
  

Requirements

• Relevant Financial/Cost and management accounting qualification. E.g. Diploma or Degree.
  
• 1 to 2 years of cost accounting work experience.
  
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
  
• Knowledge of agriculture practices and an understanding of challenges in the industry
  
• Inventory, Production, cost experience
  
• Advance excel skills for reporting & calculating purposes using large volumes of data
  

• Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word)
