Your Future Role  

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Geared Motors Assembly Artisan to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and refurbishing geared motors and gearbox systems to the highest quality standards. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, take pride in your workmanship, and thrive in a production environment, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble geared motors, gearboxes, electric motors, and related mechanical equipment according to engineering specifications and assembly procedures.


• Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials.


• Fit and install gears, bearings, shafts, seals, couplings, and other mechanical components.


• Perform mechanical alignment, adjustments, and quality checks during assembly.


• Conduct functional testing and final inspections of completed units.


• Diagnose assembly issues and perform troubleshooting, repairs, and rework where required.


• Refurbish and repair geared motors and gearbox units returned from customers.


• Ensure all work complies with company quality, safety, and operational standards.


• Complete production records, inspection reports, and job documentation accurately.


• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving production targets.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Artisan with a Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Fitting, Millwright, or a related trade.


• Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical assembly, gearbox assembly, motor assembly, or rotating equipment.


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.


• Experience using measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, and dial gauges.


• Sound knowledge of mechanical fitting practices and workshop safety standards.


• Forklift and overhead crane experience will be advantageous.
