About Engage Video Group


Engage Video Group is a technology-driven social media video business combining data and creativity to create content people really care about. We have worked with global corporations such as Unilever and NESTLÉ to produce the most engaging, shareable content for some of the world’s largest brands, and have built and own the largest food and recipe social media platform in Africa, Foodies of SA.

We believe the advertising industry has a problem: people hate ads. This is why ad-centric content is polluting our social feeds and leading to customer mistrust. By tapping into audience data and testing our content against this audience in real time, we’re able to create optimised content around topics customers really care about, in the format they love to watch.

Job Description


You ensure Foodies of SA has a strong, differentiated brand that resonates with audiences and partners, remains trusted and inspiring, and drives growth. By keeping our brand strategy and content consistent, innovative, and commercially effective, you safeguard and grow brand equity while building the foundations for long-term success.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Brand Alignment & Integrity – Foodies of SA consistently shows up as a differentiated, trusted brand with clear positioning, values, and North Stars reflected across all paid and organic content.

  • Content Performance – Content and campaigns deliver measurable improvements in engagement, reach, and conversion, driving stronger audience trust and business impact.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Brand activity integrates seamlessly across Social Media, Client Services, Strategy, and Product, resulting in cohesive execution and maximised campaign impact.

  • Innovation & Growth – Fresh campaigns, activations, and data-led initiatives strengthen Foodies of SA’s brand equity and market relevance, while consistently surprising and delighting our audience, reflected in strong engagement rates.

  • Community Building – A thriving, engaged online community is fostered, demonstrated by strong engagement rates and consistent growth in followers across platforms.

  • Team Development – A high-performing, creative, and accountable brand team is developed through clear goals, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.



What does success look like?


Success is measured by a consistently aligned and distinctive brand presence across all channels, strong performance and growth in content and brand metrics, and initiatives that expand brand equity and relevance in the market. It is also reflected in meaningful commercial impact and the development of a capable, high-performing team.



Required Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 3-5+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or strategy, with proven success in both developing and executing brand strategies.

  • Strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in brand performance and content effectiveness across paid and organic channels.

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and managing campaigns end-to-end.



Desired Skills:



  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate brand vision into actionable plans and impactful content.

  • Strong understanding of digital and social media ecosystems, analytics, and content optimisation.

  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for brand storytelling and audience engagement.

  • Highly proactive, solutions-focused and positive, with a glass-half-full outlook. 

  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills across teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with attention to detail and brand consistency.

  • Agile and adaptable, able to balance long-term brand building with short-term delivery.

  • People management experience, including mentoring, setting goals, and developing team members.
