Front of House Manager – Café | Lonehill, Johannesburg

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks:
• Manage bookings and function reservations, including email correspondence, invoicing, and phone enquiries
Guest Experience:
• Welcome and seat guests warmly
• Handle customer concerns and special requests professionally
Staff Management:
• Supervise and motivate restraint staff
• Provide training where necessary
Operations Management:
• Oversee daily front -of -house operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, stock ordering and organization of dining areas
Service Coordination:
• Work closely with kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service and efficient table turnover
Event Coordination:
• Manage special events, private parties, and large bookings to ensure smooth execution
Requirements & Skills
• Availability to work weekends (Our cafe is open every day except Mondays)
• Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer centric approach with a flair for creating memorable experiences
• Previous experience in a hospitality environment would be beneficial
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast -paced, creative environment
