Are you someone who can:

  • To provide expertise, advice and support to Functional Executives in articulating and coordinating the delivery of the business and risk strategy, project management and financial business plans of various strategic activities and supporting the delivery of key objectives
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, board members, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners, in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Manage confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.
  • Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
  • Support executives with financial and strategic planning activities and execute relevant reports, presentations, speeches and other written material
  • Supports the executive in both strategic planning and operational execution, including preparation of materials for strategic reviews, monitoring progress against key objectives, and ensuring alignment of day-to-day activities with long-term goals.
  • Navigate an often fluid and unstructured work environment, exercising sound judgement to determine priorities, establish workflows, and support the executive in responding to emerging needs.
  • The ability to anticipate challenges, propose actionable solutions by applying critical thinking, and adapt swiftly to shifting priorities.
  • Perform research and analyses to provide key strategic business insights for input into business decisions
  • Manage relevant strategic implementations against project plans to ensure delivery targets are met and provide operational and technical support to management of function
  • Facilitate strategic engagements to critically analyse and enhance proposed operational risk and business strategies and implementation plans to deliver on business objectives
  • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG
  • Assess own performance through seeking timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
  • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
  • Focus on tactical service plans to deliver and continuously provide a consistent, seamless and positive customer experience
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
  • Contribute to the development of a budget aligned to operational delivery plans, monitor effectiveness, and report on variances

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Minimum Qualification - CA (SA)
  • Experience - 7 - 10 years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and Access
  • Experience with development and interpretation of reports
  • Experience in financial industry beneficial

  • Lead and facilitate difficult conflict situations into consensual agreements on behalf of CFO where specifically mandated
  • Provide decision support through data gathering, information analysing and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders
  • Create governance structures and dashboard metrics to monitor progress against strategy and highlight initiatives/risks as required by specific projects
  • Review, consolidate and analyse forecast and budgeted results in preparation for various Board / Exco reports and forums
