VACANCY: Hangar Assistant

REPORTING: Dispatch Supervisor

LOCATION: Durban North

Starlite Aviation Training Academy (Pty) Ltd has a requirement for a punctual, reliable, hardworking team player to fill this position in Durban within the Starlite Aviation Group.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning and upkeep of hangar, including sweeping and mopping floor.
• Cleaning helipads and surrounding areas.
• Cleaning of interior and exterior of aircraft according to our corrosion control programme.
• Moving and re-fueling of aircraft.
• Maintenance of garden/lawn.
• Report any damage, fuel and oil leaks or any item or incident which could result in the aircraft being unserviceable for flight.
• Other duties as assigned.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong Technical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong on compliance.
• Strong focus on Safety and Quality.
• Report to duty on time and manage time keeping.
• Ability to lift and move reasonable loads.
• Valid Code 8 or 10 drivers license.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The following is essential for this position:

• Grade 12.
• Previous experience with aviation support (advantageous).
• A valid Driver's License (advantageous).
