Job Description - Head: Brand and Communications

Hello… an exciting new opportunity has just become available in our Group Marketing, in the Commercial Marketingarea . We are looking to recruit a Head: Brand & Communications

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Group Brand & Communications. This role focuses on protecting and maintaining the Hollard brand health, heritage and reputation while driving brand objectives in line with the business strategy.

Key Objectives

  • Brand Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with Hollards’ objectives. This includes defining brand positioning, messaging, and differentiation strategies. This also involves conducting brand health market research and competitor analysis to understand market perceptions and identifying opportunities for brand differentiation. Develop and implement strategies to enhance brand equity and foster positive associations with the brand.
  • Brand Identity Management : Oversee the development and maintenance of brand identity guidelines, ensuring consistency across all communication channels, touchpoints and alignment with strategic objectives. Manage brand identity elements such as logos, colors, and visual assets to ensure consistency and relevance across all brand touchpoints. Monitor online and offline channels to assess brand sentiment and perception, and implement strategies to address any issues or challenges. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that brand messaging and imagery are integrated into all marketing and communication efforts. Continuously evaluate and refine brand image management strategies to strengthen the brand's reputation and resonate with target audiences. Provide brand toolkits and guard-rails to ensure brand consistency across business units and geographies.
  • Brand Experiences & Touchpoints: Lead the development and execution of brand experiences across various touchpoints to create meaningful interactions with target audiences. Ensure consistency in brand messaging, visuals, and experiences across all touchpoints to reinforce brand identity and values. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate brand experiences seamlessly into overall marketing and communication strategies. Evaluate the impact of brand experiences and optimise strategies to enhance brand engagement and loyalty
    • Corporate Image & Reputation Management: Develop and maintain the organisation's corporate image by strategically managing perceptions, reputation, and public opinion. This involves monitoring media coverage, social media sentiment, and industry trends to identify potential risks to the corporate image and proactively address them. Implement initiatives to enhance the organisation's reputation as a shared value driven corporate citisen. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between corporate messaging and brand communication strategies. Continuously evaluate and refine corporate image management strategies to uphold the organisation's reputation and build trust with key stakeholders.
    • Crisis Communication: Provide guidance and support to senior leadership in managing public relations crises and reputational challenges by developing crisis communication plans and protocols to mitigate potential reputational risks.
    • Communications Strategy: Develop and implement communication strategies that effectively convey the brand's key messages to target audiences. This includes both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders to secure positive coverage and enhance the brand's visibility.
    • Internal Communications/Internal Marketing: Develop and execute internal communication strategies to engage and align employees with the organisation's brand values, mission, culture and objectives. This includes creating regular communication channels such as newsletters, intranet platforms, and forums to keep employees informed about company updates, initiatives, and achievements. Facilitate two-way communication by soliciting feedback, addressing employee concerns, and recognising contributions. Implement internal marketing campaigns to promote employee advocacy and brand ambassadorship, encouraging employees to embody the brand values in their interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders.
