Head of Business Development : Banking

Rewardsco is looking for an exceptional business development leader to build its Banking solution into a scaled, sustainable and highly profitable business vertical alongside Telco and Financial Services.

This is not a role focused on maintaining an existing client portfolio.

Reporting to the Managing Director: Rewardsco Sales, you will have the mandate to establish the Banking vertical, secure anchor clients and develop a commercial strategy that delivers sustainable revenue growth and long-term profitability.

What we need you to deliver

• Build and execute a Banking vertical strategy that establishes a clear market proposition and roadmap for profitable growth.
• Secure anchor banking clients and develop a diversified client portfolio that creates scale and reduces revenue concentration risk.
• Convert qualified opportunities into contracted business, from proposals and proof of concept through to revenue-generating campaigns.
• Expand existing client relationships across customer acquisition, servicing, retention and growth, increasing share of wallet and recurring revenue.
• Own vertical revenue, profitability, pricing and campaign economics, ensuring commercial decisions support approved financial targets.
• Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline, with accurate revenue forecasts and accountability for conversion and speed to business-as-usual revenue.
• Develop commercially viable client propositions in partnership with Operations, Finance, Technology and Risk.
• Lead client engagement and commercial governance during initial campaign mobilisation and stabilisation, ensuring launches align with approved business cases and commitments.
• Drive client retention, renewals, cross-selling and long-term account growth while protecting commercial margins.

Who we are looking for

A proven business development leader with a track record of building profitable business verticals or substantial client portfolios, securing anchor clients and converting complex opportunities into contracted revenue.

You will bring strong commercial judgement, financial acumen, strategic account management and executive-level negotiation skills, with the ability to manage long sales cycles and turn qualified opportunities into sustainable revenue.

Experience in banking, financial services, outsourced sales, customer acquisition or business process outsourcing will be highly relevant, particularly where success depends on developing strategic client partnerships and building commercially viable campaigns.

Most importantly, we are looking for evidence that you have built new revenue streams, secured major clients and delivered measurable commercial growth, not simply managed existing relationships.
