Our client, a growing organisation operating within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, is seeking an experienced Head of Human Capital to lead and evolve its people function while driving a high-performance culture aligned to business objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Human Capital professional who enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution while building organisational capability, strengthening leadership, and embedding practical people practices that support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Human Capital strategy aligned to business objectives.
Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic people advice and support key business decisions.
Lead organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
Develop and implement talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, and employee retention strategies.
Drive organisational development and change management initiatives that improve business effectiveness.
Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership coaching and employee development.
Champion employee engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with labour legislation, Human Capital governance, and statutory reporting requirements.
Oversee payroll governance and ensure compliance with Employment Equity, Skills Development, and B-BBEE requirements.
Develop meaningful HR reporting and people analytics to support business decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Human Capital team while promoting operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Honours or Master's Degree will be advantageous.
Professional registration with SABPP, HPCSA, or a similar professional body will be advantageous.
Minimum 10 years' progressive Human Capital experience.
At least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience developing and implementing people strategies aligned to business objectives.
Strong experience in organisational design, talent management, workforce planning, and leadership development.
Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and Human Capital governance.
Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or similar operational environments will be advantageous.
