Position: Live-in

Salary: R7,500 â R10,000 per month

About the Opportunity

A luxury lodge in the Vaalwater area is seeking an experienced and capable Horse Guide to join its team. This role requires a confident rider with strong guiding abilities and a passion for guest experiences in a safari environment.

Key Requirements

â¢ Must be able to ride confidently

â¢ Minimum qualification: CATHSSETA NQF Level 2 (or equivalent guiding qualification)

â¢ All qualifications must be up to date

â¢ Previous experience in a guiding or equestrian safari environment advantageous

â¢ Strong guest interaction and communication skills

â¢ Physically fit and able to work in a bush environment

â¢ Passion for wildlife, horses and hospitality

â¢ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

â¢ Guide horseback safari experiences for guests

â¢ Ensure guest safety at all times during rides and activities

â¢ Conduct pre-ride briefings and horse assessments

â¢ Care for horses, including tack checks and general welfare monitoring

â¢ Deliver engaging and informative guest experiences in the bush

â¢ Maintain professional standards of guiding and guest service

â¢ Assist with daily stable and operational duties where required
