• Assembly of hydraulic hoses as per customer requirements and to CATERPILLAR hose information system specifications

• Adherence to contamination control requirements

• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment

• Ensure machinery is in good working condition and calibrated as per factory specification

• Accountable for keeping of hose assembly register

• Ensure that work areas are maintained clean and hazard free at all times

• Receive hose requirements / specifications from parts and service sales liaison

• Verify against HIS to validate correct specifications / requirements

• Pick loose parts dependant on plant specific layout and process

• Select correct hose and cut to specification

• Tag hose with correct information

• Seal and despatch as required

• Sign off hose assembly in hose register

• Build hydraulic hoses per sample as and when required

• Providing assistance in other areas within the warehouse as and when required

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade 12

• Certified hydraulic hose assembler will be an added advantage

• Previous experience in hydraulic hose assembly advantageous

• Working knowledge of all supplied fittings and their use

• Working experience with MS Office / ERP systems
