Job Summary: As a Hotel Porter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests and assisting with the smooth operation of the hotel. You will be the first point of contact for guests upon arrival and will play a key role in ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Key Responsibilities: - Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage and other personal belongings - Escort guests to their rooms and familiarize them with the hotel's facilities and services - Provide information and recommendations about local attractions, restaurants, and events - Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner - Maintain a clean and welcoming lobby area - Assist with check-in and check-out procedures - Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest rooms are clean and well-maintained - Monitor guest requests and ensure they are fulfilled promptly - Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately - Assist with the organization and set-up of events and conferences - Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations - Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed - Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects - Knowledge of local attractions and services is an asset.
