Join Our Team as a Hotel Sales Representative!

Are you passionate about the hospitality industry and have a knack for sales? Do you thrive in a dynamic and customer-focused environment? If so, we invite you to become a valuable part of our team as a Hotel Sales Representative based in Mafikeng in the North-West Province.

Position Overview:

The Hotel Sales Executive based in Mafikeng will be responsible for generating revenue for our hotels through prospecting, soliciting, and closing new business opportunities. They will develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background (preferably in the hospitality sector), exceptional customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of the hotel industry. We offer a base salary and a competitive commission structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generating new business opportunities by identifying and contacting prospective clients in various industries, including corporate, group, and leisure markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agencies, TMCs, STOs, PCOs and FITs.
  • Conducting onsite visits to potential clients to showcase the hotels' amenities, services, and facilities and effectively communicate the value proposition of booking with our hotels.
  • Actively respond to incoming inquiries by providing information about our hotels, their amenities, and availability to potential clients.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry and market trends as well as our competition to identify new business opportunities and strategies for increasing market share.
  • Preparing and presenting compelling sales proposals, contracts, and negotiations to secure new business and anticipate potential objections or concerns of potential clients.
  • Establishing and maintain positive relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies and campaigns to generate leads and drive revenue.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized records of all sales activities, including client interactions, sales leads, and bookings, using CRM software or other systems as directed by the company.
  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote the hotels and establish new contacts and partnerships.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, revenue performance, and market trends to management, highlighting any areas for improvement or concerns. The successful candidate will be required to attend a daily online meeting with Hotel Management and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • A tertiary qualificationmarketing, business administration, hospitality management, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable tranport essential.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills to effectively close deals and secure new business.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, effectively managing time and resources to achieve sales targets.
  • Sound knowledge of the hotel industry, market trends, and competitors.
  • Proficient in using computer software applications related to sales and customer relationship management (CRM) as well as MS Office.
  • A positive attitude with a customer-centric approach and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
