Employment Equity & Compliance

  • Manage the full Employment Equity process including reports, committee meetings, and submissions.

  • File Employment Equity and Annual Return of Earnings reports with the Department of Labour and maintain Certificates of Compliance.

  • Ensure HR operations and industrial relations comply with South African labour legislation and industry agreements (e.g., MEIBC, SEIFSA).

HR Administration

  • Maintain and update organisational structures, organograms, and staff complement lists.

  • Oversee job descriptions, contracts, and HR policies to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee leave, disciplinary matters, and day-to-day HR queries.

Recruitment & Induction

  • Lead recruitment efforts, with a strong focus on building and retaining a capable, driven sales force.

  • Partner with management to define role requirements and source the right talent.

  • Prepare job adverts, conduct competency-based interviews, oversee reference checks, and administer offers/contracts.

  • Facilitate smooth HR inductions for new employees.

Training, Development & Staff Welfare

  • Design and implement learning programmes for all staff, including financial literacy, debt management (e.g., HP awareness), and responsible personal finance practices.

  • Develop upskilling initiatives to enable employees to grow with the company and progress in their careers.

  • Prepare and submit Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports.

  • Partner with managers to identify skills gaps and deliver impactful, practical training solutions.

Industrial & Labour Relations

  • Guide managers and supervisors on handling misconduct and performance management.

  • Oversee disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases, and retrenchment processes to ensure compliance and fairness.

  • Maintain constructive relationships with unions, bargaining councils, and external stakeholders.

  • Support employee engagement and Employee Assistance Programmes.

Health & Safety Support

  • Maintain H&S documentation and compliance notices.
