Job Description - HR Officer

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a Human Resource Officer based in Somwerset West.

We are looking for a proactive and detail -oriented Human Resource Officer to support and coordinate a broad range of Human Resources functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures, and statutory requirements while providing efficient day -to -day HR operational support.

  • Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support learning and development activities.
  • Assist with adherence to HR statutory and compliance requirements.
  • Support Industrial Relations matters.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices remain current and compliant.
  • Maintain POPI compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and filing systems.
  • Provide payroll and employee benefits administration support.
  • Assist with day -to -day HR operations.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information.


Requirements

  • HR Certificate or Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Valid Code 08 Driver's Licence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Exposure to HR compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to HR processes and procedures.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong problem -solving and solution -oriented mindset.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and professional.
  • Strong coordination and resource management skills.
  • Customer -service orientated.
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
