With a transformative vision, Gibela endeavoured to catalyse the shift towards commuter rail as the preferred mode of transport for urban communities.We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Industrial Quality Technician position under Quality Department The position will report Quality Manager and is based at DunnottarJob PurposeThe Quality Technician manages in his/her scope of work, the actions to ensure the conformity of the product and to help the continuous improvement on quality processes. Ensure the conformity of the product and act quickly to solve quality issues. The position report to the Subs Quality Manager. Key Responsibilities Ensure the conformity of the product deliveredEnsure the respect of the Control Plan and Self Inspection at each workstationCreate non-conformity Report in the GSI system and ensure the curative actions are definedAnalyze and find the root cause of repetitive non-compliance and/or reworks - QRQC methodsUpdate the list of defects still open - validate and close the reworks doneIn process inspection during manufacturing of a trainGenerate reports for inspections performedCo-ordinate and manage repairs or modification projects at various car repair locationsAuditing and approval of repairWorking with engineering drawings for car modifications and New Car buildsMaintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per dayInspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standardsMonitor the use of equipment to safety and maintenanceGenerate and submit reports to the quality managerSelect output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)Alert operators using the quality visions on the defect that were detected during inspectionAdhere to EHS rules and any work-related processes Minimum Requirements National Diploma in Quality, Engineering field (mechanical, electrical, metallurgy.IT literate (word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Level 1 Welding Inspector, Level 1 NDT (PT & UT) will be advantageousTechnical knowledge with 1 to 3 years' experience preferably in the railway industry, in quality, ideally in an international organizationKnowledge about weldingQuality assurance, quality management, Product inspection, manufacturing management, or a related fieldMathematical, technical and mechanical skills, knowledge of production, processing, electronics, computers; able to use analytic and scientific, database, and Excel spread sheet , use of measuring toolsTeam spirit approach and good communication skills Special Requirements The job involves frequent mobility, with work in several depots, and at times on the train corridors.To carry out technical support and maintenance on 24/7 shift & on-call basis (night, day, weekend).
