Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector to join the team in Steelpoort. The incumbent will oversee the sampling, weighing and sealing of materials according to established procedures of Alfred H Knight.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

To be successful at Alfred H Knight the incumbent will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordination: Plan sampling activities, scheduling, resource allocation and coordination with other departments. 


• Safety: Enforcing safety protocols to protect employees and the environment


• Quality Control: Oversee the collection and handling of samples to ensure that they are representative and uncontaminated.


• Equipment Maintenance: Ensures that sampling equipment is in good working condition. 


• Staff Training: They train and guide sampling personnel, ensuring that the team members are knowledgeable about proper sampling techniques. 


• Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on sampling activities, findings, and any deviations from standard procedures. Communicate results to management


• Conflict Resolution: They resolve conflict or disputes among team members. 


• Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members, management and external parties to ensure that sampling objectives are met.

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 (with Maths, English and Science)


• Supervisory Course


• Knowledge of WSMD

Required work experience

• Minimum of 3 years work experience with a Minerals & Metals company


• Previous experience as a Team Leader

Required Languages

• Highly proficient in English (Verbal and written)
