We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to join our Insurance Renewals team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate insurance records, supporting renewal processes, managing documentation and ensuring data integrity across internal systems.
The Role
The Insurance Administrator will support insurance operations through data management, document control, and administrative coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate policy information, tracking renewals, liaising with insurers and brokers and ensuring all records are up to date and compliant.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Upload and maintain insurance documents and records on internal systems
Update and manage master spreadsheets, databases and reporting tools using Microsoft Excel
Ensure all policy information is accurate, complete and up to date
Liaise with clients, brokers and insurers regarding documentation and policy information
Track policy renewals and support administrative requirements
Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure records are easily accessible
Assist with data audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy
Support the insurance team with general administrative duties
Prepare reports and provide updates on outstanding documentation
What We're Looking For
Previous administrative experience, ideally within insurance, property management, or financial services
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including spreadsheets, formulas and data tracking
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working with databases, CRM systems, or document management tools (advantageous)

Benefits
Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 per month (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 09:00 – 18:00 (South African time), Monday to Friday, including a 60-minute lunch break
15 days annual leave plus all South African public holidays
Hybrid role based in Cape Town, with occasional office attendance and company social events
A stable internet connection is essential, particularly during load shedding. This position supports Urang Property Management's commitment to Employment Equity. In accordance with the Employment Equity Act, preference will be given to suitably qualified South African citizens from designated groups.
