IT Platform Architect Operational Technology (OT)

We are seeking a seasoned IT Platform Architect to drive the development and design of architecture solutions within the Digital Technology (DT) space, specifically across the Operational Technology (OT) domain. This role will play a pivotal part in selecting and implementing new technologies, ensuring that platforms are aligned with architecture principles and deliver measurable business value.

• Evaluate and support new technology ideas and demands, offering detailed research, analysis, and architectural recommendations.
  

• Provide architectural design guidance and support to projects and business units, ensuring the delivery of efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.
  

• Collaborate across global, matrixed teams and develop trusted relationships with leadership stakeholders.
  

• Support the end-to-end architecture lifecycle including requirements gathering, vendor selection, costing, design, and non-functional option evaluation.
  

• Monitor emerging technologies and trends to identify potential opportunities for innovation and business improvement.
  

• Contribute to the creation of technology strategies, system roadmaps, and platform standards that support long-term business objectives.
  

• Engage with culturally and geographically diverse stakeholders to understand needs and ensure effective solution alignment.
  

• Champion architectural governance, promoting adherence to standards, policies, and operational excellence across IT and OT systems.
  

• Lead or support delivery using internal teams, external suppliers, and offshore resources.
  

• Mentor and guide team members, supporting professional development within the architecture function.
  

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, OT, or a related technical field.
  

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT/OT technology architecture and infrastructure design.
  

• At least 8 years in a corporate IT/OT environment with senior leadership exposure.
  

• Strong experience across the full technical lifecycle including application development, system implementation, and infrastructure delivery.
  

• Proven background in multinational environments, ideally with exposure to the mining industry.
  

• Demonstrated ability to build technology strategies and govern IT/OT frameworks effectively.
  

• Financial acumen with experience in solution costing and business case development.
