IT Project Coordinator

This role focuses on managing complex project lifecycles, navigating change management, and ensuring robust governance across key implementations. Reporting directly to leadership, the position combines structured project execution, budget management, and continuous quality assurance to drive customer satisfaction.

Positioned to transform complex operational requirements into clear, manageable deliverables, the role oversees end-to-end project execution through to go-live. The scope demands strong oversight of project profitability, risk mitigation, and continuous communication with executive stakeholders to maintain delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple enterprise software implementation projects concurrently from initiation through planning, execution, go-live, and hypercare.
  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, RAID logs, governance documentation, and executive status reports.
  
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and operational dependencies.
  
• Chair steering committee and executive governance meetings, establishing structured project oversight.
  
• Build trusted, strategic relationships with C-level executives, senior management, and project sponsors.
  
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, technical teams, software partners, and client implementation groups.
  
• Manage third-party vendors and actively monitor service level agreements (SLAs).
  
• Continuously refine delivery methodologies, implementation playbooks, and organisational knowledge repositories.
  
• Drive accountability, delivery quality, and client satisfaction across all project lifecycles.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Software Delivery, Programme Management, PMO, Business Transformation, or Management Consulting.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Business Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, Project Management, or a related field.
  
• Pure Mathematics completed at High School level.
  
• Proven track record delivering enterprise software or SaaS implementations.
  
• Demonstrated experience in high-level executive stakeholder management and governance processes.
  
• Background in risk management and vendor oversight.
  
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology platforms efficiently.
  
• Valid South African driver's licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
  
• Willingness to undertake national business travel.
  

Desirable Requirements

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, or Lean Six Sigma professional certification.

• This is a full-time, permanent position in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
  
• During probation the role would be on-site, and after probation it'll convert to hybrid (3 days on-site).
  
• Budget: R35 000 CTC (including medical contribution) + milestone incentives.
