Junior Accountant Clerk

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant Clerk to join our team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level candidate looking to kickstart their career in accounting and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and growing company. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and invoice processing - Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations - Assist with month-end and year-end close processes - Monitor and track company expenses and ensure compliance with company policies - Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis - Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions - Provide support for audit and tax preparation processes - Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internship experience will be considered) - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proactive and eager to learn and take on new challenges - Must be able to work full-time and have a valid work permit for South Africa If you are a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for accounting and a desire to grow in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
