A reputable management consulting firm seeks to employ a Junior Accounts / Administrator to join their dedicated team. You will be responsible for responding to emails, preparing accounts and submiting tax returns. Suitable candidates need to have a a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Management, or related field. This is a full-time in-office position.
Responsibilities:
Book client service requirements and provide necessary support.
Write and search for business leads using the Bark portal system.
Respond to emails and address communication issues.
Capture, record, and prepare accounts (bookkeeping services).
Address and resolve client-related challenges.
Support business development efforts by identifying revenue-generating opportunities as directed by the manager.
Submit client tax returns using the SARS eFiling system and visit SARS offices when necessary.
Support advertising efforts and contribute to generating new business opportunities via the Tax Connect platform.
Carry out other related tasks as directed by the manager or relevant departments.
Meet daily service delivery and sales targets for client-related activities.
Prepare accounts receivable/debtor schedules for clients.
Assist in pitching for new business and prospective clients.
Prepare tender documents for bidding and submissions.
Assist with preparing accounts for business and loan applications for clients.
Help organise financing and funding workshops for businesses seeking additional working capital.
Assist in pitching internal control and internal audit services.
Perform monthly account preparation and bookkeeping services.
Send business proposals to companies and NGOs.
Help initiate and facilitate monthly workshops on growth capital financing options for SMEs.
Requirements
Must hold a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Management, or related field
Computer literate, knowledge of Pastel Accounting is an added advantage.
Must be a good listener with strong communication skills.
Minimum of three years’ experience within the South African working environment.
Ability to work under pressure and drive change independently.
Must be organised, a good initiator, and a team player.
Understanding of tax regulations and SARS operational processes is an added advantage.
Must be assertive and able to pay critical attention to detail when dealing with clients.
Strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of NGO/civil society operations and compliance processes in South Africa is an advantage.
Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
