Junior Buyer

LOCATION: Kempton Park

SALARY AND BENEFITS: R12000 - R16 000 CTC p/m

DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS:

We're on the lookout for a young, ambitious individual who is eager to make a career in the world of procurement. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing your own client portfolio, purchasing goods, materials, and services essential to our operations. Your keen eye for detail and exceptional Excel skills will be invaluable as you analyse data, create reports, and optimize procurement processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or studying towards
• 2 years procurement experience
• Experience or exposure in mining/manufacturing/construction/FMCG/OEM/retail industries would be beneficial
• Above average Excel skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact with clients and suppliers.
• Proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize advanced Excel skills, including formulas and Vlookups, to streamline data analysis and reporting.
• Manage your own client portfolio, ensuring their procurement needs are met efficiently and effectively
• Facilitate the smooth flow of parts to and from suppliers and various departments within the company.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to inform purchasing decisions and drive continuous improvement.
