This position is to provide support and perform the preparation of materials and tooling, the lay-up of components, curing, trimming, drilling and cutting of components as well of bonding components into an assembly.
Required Qualifications:
Senior Certificate.
Applicable composite worker apprenticeship or training preferred but not mandatory.
Police clearance certificate (required prior to commencement of employment).
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a composite technician role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process planning documents.
Understanding of standard composite manufacturing processes and techniques, including wet-layup, infusion and prepregs.
Knowledge of quality assurance techniques applicable to composite manufacturing.
Basic proficiency to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
Familiarity with process documentation and quality control.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with repair techniques for composite materials.
Previous work experience in the aerospace and defence industry.
Job Description:
Composite Technician within the Production Department.
Provide support and perform the preparation of materials and tooling, the lay-up of components, curing, trimming, drilling and cutting of components as well of bonding components into an assembly.

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings and process documents.
Prepare moulds for composite manufacture.
Preparation of composite materials for manufacture.
Laminator Responsibilities:
Perform layups for composite parts using various techniques including hand layup and vacuum bagging.
Mix materials and apply coatings to composite materials.
Fit and Bond components together to form bonded assemblies.
Trim and Drill Responsibilities:
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Trim components and flashing to tolerances as specified in technical drawings.
Ensure all composite materials are handled and stored properly.
Maintain accurate records of materials used and fabrication processes followed to support traceability and quality assurance efforts.
Work within the Incomar quality standards.
Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
