Junior Field Service Technician

A top supplier of vending machines needs a Junior Field Service Technician.

The primary purpose is to perform technical repairs and installations of all vending machines relevant to the business.

Tasks and Key Responsibilities (KPA)

• Transport and install large vending machines.
  


• Operate service vehicles.
  


• Adhere to safety protocols.
  


• Utilize basic lifting and moving equipment.
  


• Operate power tools.
  


• Train machine operators.
  


• Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues with motors, solenoids, and main supply.
  


• Manage general spares, maintain service records, generate reports, and ensure housekeeping standards.
  


• Maintain cleanliness of the service vehicle, both interior and exterior, with a weekly wash required.
  


• Regular vehicle inspections will be conducted
  


• Always wear company-approved uniforms while on duty.
  

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Expertise in vending machine repairs.
  


• Proficiency in electronic and mechanical repairs.
  


• Knowledge of plumbing.
  


• Experience with domestic appliances.
  

Competencies

• Physical fitness.
  


• Analytical thinking.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  


• Technical qualifications in electronics, electrical, or electro-mechanical fields (N1-N3).
  


• Valid driver’s license.
  

Working Conditions

• Work independently with minimal supervision.
  


• Engage in manual labour as required (some of the machines are quite heavy)
