Junior Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS)

The Junior Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) provides support in managing the cost and contractual aspects of construction projects under the supervision of senior quantity surveyors. As a professionally registered PrQS, this role involves assisting in cost estimation, tender processes, contract administration, and cost reporting to ensure project financial efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for various stages of a project.
• Support the procurement process, including evaluation of tenders and preparation of contract documentation.
• Monitor project costs and assist in tracking budget performance and cost variances.
• Assist in administering contracts, including payment certifications, valuations, and tracking of variations.
• Conduct site visits and measurements to support progress reporting and cost control.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure accurate cost and contractual information.
• Assist in final account preparation and negotiation under the guidance of senior staff.
• Maintain organized records of cost data, correspondence, and contractual documentation.
• Comply with regulatory, professional, and client standards, and actively participate in continuing professional development.
