Junior Scrap Metal Buyer

• Source
  ferrous and non -ferrous scrap metal from existing and new suppliers.
  
• Conduct
  site visits to suppliers, scrapyards, industrial businesses, and construction
  sites.
  
• Negotiate
  pricing within approved company parameters.
  
• Prepare and
  issue purchase orders and purchase agreements.
  
• Establish
  and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  
• Identify
  and develop new procurement opportunities.
  
• Assess and
  identify different grades of scrap metal.
  
• ​Evaluate
  quality, contamination levels, and estimated weight of materials.
  

Requirements

• Grade
  12
  
• 1–2 years'
  experience in buying, procurement, sales, logistics, recycling, manufacturing,
  or a related industry.
  
• Experience
  in the scrap metal, recycling, steel, or waste management industry will be
  advantageous.
  
• Basic
  knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  
• Valid
  drivers license
