Location: Thabazimbi


Property Type: Luxury Safari Camp


Salary: Negotiable DOE, Live-In

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a highly skilled Lead Trails Guide to join a luxury safari camp in Thabazimbi. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced guide to lead exceptional walking safaris and game drives, while creating memorable guest experiences in a pristine wilderness setting.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct guided walking safaris and game drives, ensuring safety and exceptional guest engagement at all times


  • Share expert knowledge of local wildlife, ecology, and conservation with guests in an engaging and educational manner


  • Deliver world-class hosting, creating unique and memorable experiences throughout the guest journey


  • Maintain the highest safety standards during all guiding activities


  • Assist in training and mentoring junior guides, trackers, and field staff


  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and rifles are properly maintained and in excellent working order


  • Liaise with the camp management team to coordinate guest activities and ensure seamless service delivery


  • Promote conservation awareness and represent the lodge ethos with professionalism and integrity


Requirements



  • FGASA Lead Trails Guide qualification (or equivalent, with up-to-date credentials)


  • Valid ARH and rifle proficiency certification


  • First Aid Level 2 (minimum)


  • DEAT/NDT registration and valid PDP driver’s licence


  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a trails guide in a luxury lodge environment


  • Strong hosting and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with international guests


  • Passion for guiding, conservation, and delivering exceptional safari experiences


  • Ability to mentor and support junior guides in their development


  • Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused approach
