Lighting Technician

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and maintain all lighting equipment onboard the cruise ship, including stage lighting, spotlights, and special effects lighting

- Work closely with the entertainment team to create and execute lighting designs for shows and events

- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with lighting equipment during performances

- Maintain an inventory of all lighting equipment and ensure it is properly stored and maintained

- Assist with the load-in and load-out of lighting equipment during port calls

- Keep updated records of all maintenance and repairs performed on lighting equipment

- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lighting Technician, preferably in a live entertainment setting

- Knowledge of lighting equipment, including DMX programming and lighting consoles

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lighting plots

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules

- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

- Previous experience working on cruise ships is a plus
