Logistics Administrator - Maitland, Cape Town - Salary R22 000
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee outgoing and incoming deliveries to ensure efficient logistics and customer satisfaction.
Liaise with internal departments (Production, Sales, Health & Safety) to align delivery and production schedules.
Manage logistics personnel and monitor compliance with company policies (safety, hygiene, timekeeping).
Operate and oversee use of vehicles (incl. forklifts and delivery vehicles); ensure vehicle maintenance, fuel use, and mileage logs are maintained.
Prepare, maintain, and distribute delivery documentation including delivery notes, tax invoices, and stock reports using Microsoft Excel, Pastel Accounting, and other systems.
Handle third-party courier coordination and cost-effective route planning.
Assist with stock takes, manage inventory movements, and oversee raw material storage.
Support and act as BRC Contingency for logistics documentation, invoicing, and system updates.
Requirements:
Strong experience in logistics coordination and administration
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Pastel Accounting
Valid drivers license and experience operating forklifts and other commercial vehicles preferred
Knowledge of South African road traffic regulations
