Logistics Manager

Overseeing dispatch, delivery, and yard operations, this role plays a pivotal part in maintaining efficient operational workflow and high-standard client service. Positioned within an established building materials and hardware supply environment, the focus centres on leading operational teams and ensuring seamless product movement.

Operating in a full-time capacity, this leadership position reports directly to the Operational Manager and takes ownership of daily logistics execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Service: Support contractors and walk-in customers by delivering efficient and dependable logistics solutions.
  

• Delivery Coordination: Plan, optimise, and schedule daily dispatch routes for effective material distribution.
  

• Personnel Management: Supervise, schedule, and direct drivers, delivery assistants, and yard staff.
  

• Yard Operations: Oversee yard activities to guarantee safe, organised, and effective stock handling.
  

• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders to align stock availability with customer demand.
  

Requirements

• Good knowledge of building materials and hardware.
  

• Valid South African driver's licence.
  

• Proven track record in logistics, fleet, or warehouse management.
  

• Demonstrated leadership capability and staff management skills.
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  

• High level of reliability with strong attention to detail.
  

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with IQ Retail software.
